After 20+ years of teaching art in person, I never dreamed that a virtual art room could be a win. In fact, for the first year of teaching virtually, I operated in test mode. All the feedback from schools doing virtual learning was terrible. Could this really work?
Today, I am over two years deep into teaching virtual art classes and I've uncovered these powerful takeaways:
"My daughter has come out of her shell under Lauren’s gentle tutelage. She is shy in person, yet feels confident to speak up about her art during a virtual lesson because of how Lauren celebrates the amazing abilities of each student."
Playful, process art experiences woven with preschool skills. We meet up weekly via Zoom for an active, wiggly, creative time.
Introduces beginning artists to creative processes and techniques. We meet up weekly via Zoom for an interactive, confidence-building class.
Powerful invitations to create artwork that builds their confidence. We meet up weekly via Zoom for an interactive hour resulting in empowered young artists.
Support and direction for artists taking their skill to the next level. We meet up weekly via Zoom for an hour of creative problem solving with the goal of growing each student's confidence and technical abilities.
The favorite part of these kids' week!
I dare you to have more fun without leaving the house.
